In his congratulatory message to the opening of the second session of the National Assembly on Monday April 1, 2024, His Majesty the King Norodom Sihamony expressed his appreciation to Samdech Khuon Sodary, President of the National Assembly as an outstanding woman who has been courageous in the management of the parliament.
The Cambodian Monarch continued to say that the National Assembly of the seventh mandate was born out of free, fair, and transparent elections in accordance with the principles of liberal multi-party democracy with 18 parties competing and two parties, the Cambodian People's Party winning 120 seats and the royalist Party FUNCINPEC Party won 5 seats.
In the message congratulating the second session of the National Assembly of the seventh legislature, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni also praised the leadership of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet , the Prime Minister of Cambodia.
