The President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia and Chairman of the Angkor Sangkrant Organizing Committee said that the Angkor Sangkranta event has belonged to all Khmers in Cambodia.
On his official Facebook post on of April 17, 2025, His Excellency Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia said that the success of the event has come from all the support of the people that provides endless strength to help the Cambodian Youth Federation work harder in social work for the national cause.
The Angkor Sangkrant event was initiated as a large-scale cultural spectacle for the first time in 2013 on the Angkor site in Siem Reap province by the Union of Cambodian Youth Federations. Its aim is to gather young people and the public to celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year as one great Khmer family, commemorate and revive the Khmer intangible heritage, participate in preserving and developing national culture, and raise national prestige on the international stage. The event has provided opportunities for young people, citizens, and national and international tourists to learn about the glory and diversity of culture, civilization, tradition, and religion.
The Angkor Sangkranta event in 2025 began from April 14 to 16, 2025, with performances and displays of Khmer ancestral cultural heritage, and many other entertainment programs at 6 major locations, including the Angkor Wat temple complex, the Royal Palace Gardens, the Siem Reap River, along King's Road, the Pub Street area, and Angkor Kyungyu.
