The United Nations is always ready to support the Royal Government of Cambodia to accelerate the development of the nation.

His Excellency Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was informed about the UN stance when he discussed work Mr. Joseph Soyer United Nations Coordinator in Cambodia at the Ministry of Interior on Monday May 20, 2024. The United Nations Coordinator thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its continued cooperation with the United Nations

His Excellency Sar Sokha thanked the United Nations agencies for their continued support to Cambodia through close work with the Royal Government, civil society, development partners and the private sector. 

The Minister of Interior of Cambodia also said that the UN agencies have contributed to the post-war rehabilitation process in Cambodia, including strengthening national capacity, strengthening democracy, and in particular supporting Cambodia in localizing the global goals of sustainable development. H.E Sar Sokha also briefed the UN senior official on the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia, to strengthen sub-national governance, road safety, and gender-based violence, climate change, food security, social protection.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia said that the United Nations has been always ready to support the Royal Government of Cambodia to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in line with the planned goals.
