The President of the Senate of Cambodia left Phnom Penh Monday, November 2, for a three-day official and friendly visit to the People's Republic of China.
The visit was made at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who is also President of the Cambodian People’s Party, during his stay in China from November 2 to 4, Samdech Techo Hun Sen had bilateral meetings with Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of the People's Republic of China. The President of the Cambodian Senate also had separate working meetings with H.E. Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen's first visit as President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the People's Republic of China has provided new momentum in strengthening the ironclad friendships, promoting cooperation on the comprehensive strategic partnership, aiming to deepen the diamond cooperation and promoting the building of a Cambodia-China community of shared future in a new era with high quality, high level and high standards.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen was accompanied by Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, member of the Supreme Privy Council to the King and Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party; H.E Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Cambodian People's Party; and many other senior government officials.
