The Cambodian Prime Minister said that the Ream naval base has been ready to welcome the visits of warships from all friendly countries

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, extended the welcome when he presided over the inauguration ceremony of the modernization achievements of the Ream Naval Base and the Cambodia-China Joint Logistics and Training Center in the province of Preah Sihanoukville on April 5, 2025.

The Cambodian Prime Minister said that the naval base has been closed for renovation since 2022 and now as the work was completed, the base was ready for naval cooperation with all friendly nations.

The Cambodian Prime Minister stressed that Cambodia was ready to welcome warships weighing less than 20,000 tones, provided prior notice is given, except in urgent cases. We have nothing to hide. This is our stance to maintain friendship with all parties,” he said.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Royal Government has had full sovereignty and control over the Ream naval base.
