CAMBODIA BEGINS VACCINATE CHIDREN AGED 5 ON NOVEMBER 1

Cambodian children aged 5 throughout the country have started to be vaccinated against the Covid-19.

 

According to the announcement issued on October 30, the Ministry of Health said that the vaccination campaign for children aged 5 started on Monday November 1 and the interval between the first and the second doses was 28 days. The Ministry further said that Chinese-made Sinovac vaccines were administered for the younger age group. 

 

The announcement of the Ministry of Health continued to call on fully vaccinated people to keep living up to the health and administrative measures issued by the government, especially the 3 does and 3 don’ts introduced by Samdech Akak Mohasena Padei Decho Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

 

On his audio address on Sunday, October 31, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that 10 million people aged 18 and over have been vaccinated while nearly 98 per cent of teenagers aged between 12 and 17 and over 101 per cent of children aged from 6 to 12 have also been given the Covid-19 jabs.
