Cambodia has the second highest COVID-19 vaccination rate in Southeast Asia and elsewhere in the world, higher than many countries such as the United States.
According to the survey conducted by the US Public Radio Station (NPR), as of September 24, 2021, more than 80 percent of the population in Cambodia has been vaccinated, while the United States has only 54.4 percent.
Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia with a population of about 2 million, is considered the capital with the highest vaccination rates in Cambodia in the world.
The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, said that with the assistance of the Chinese friends, Cambodia will create a community resilience, with the expectation of a gradual resumption of social and economic activities in the near future.
