CAMBODIA DECIDES TO PROVIDE MORE COVID-19 VACCINES TO VIETNAM

The government of Cambodia has decided to provide 200,000 more doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Vietnam.

Her Excellency Or Vanndin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health told Cambodian News Agency AKP on Tuesday that the decision was made by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia. She said that Samdech Techo Hun Sen has announced the provision of 200,000 Covid-19 doses to the government and people of Vietnam to help join the fight against the disease. 

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health further said that she would represent the Prime Minister to hand over the vaccines to the Vietnamese side on Friday October 29 at a ceremony held at the Bavit border in the province of Svay Rieng.

Cambodia has so far provided financial aid, face masks and medical equipment to Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Timor-lest and Nepal. The latest donation of Covid-19 vaccines was sent to Laos.
