The Kingdom of Cambodia and the United State of America discussed various topics of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The discussion was made between H.E Sun Chanthol, First Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the outgoing US ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E W. Patrick Murphy, in Phnom Penh on April 24, 2024.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the US ambassador for his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation and especially to the participation in youth capacity building. The Deputy Prime Minister asked the United States to continue to support the special capacity building of officials under the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
The Deputy Prime Minister also informed the Ambassador about the investment door knocking project of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, to facilitate investment and business procedures.
For his part, the US ambassador lauded the progress made by Cambodia in national and economic development. He
spoke about the foundations of Cambodia-US relations in the framework of foreign assistance programs, such as the “USAID” project, all of which have made significant contributions to the work of strengthening the capacity of Cambodian youths.
