Cambodian Premier: Direct flights between Cambodia and Australia will be launched soon

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, said that the direct flights between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Australia will be launched soon after the agreement on the opening of air relations between the two countries has been signed during Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s official visit to Australia last week.

The statement was made when Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet inspected the progress of the construction site of Techo International Airport in Kandal Steung District, Kandal Province, on March 12, 2024,

According to the Cambodian Prime Minister, direct flights between Cambodia and Australia will take place as the number of passengers increases, as all travel from Australia to Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stressed that with the completion of main aviation infrastructure such as the Techo International Airport, Cambodia will be better positioned to facilitate direct flights from around the world, fostering easier travel and enhancing the tourism sector.

The Cambodian Premier added that once the Techo International Airport is put into operation, the number of special flights from Europe is expected to rise, further bolstering Cambodia's tourism industry and increasing income for its people.
