Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet , Prime Minister of Cambodia, encouraged Vietnam's Viettel to expand its investment in Cambodia as the company successfully operates its business in Cambodia.
The encouragement was made when Samdech Thipadei met with Mr. Tao Duc Thang, President of Viettel on the afternoon of December 11, 2023 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Mr. Tao Duch Thang thanked Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister for allowing him and colleagues to pay a courtesy call and congratulated the success of the Extraordinary Congress of the Cambodian People's Party that unanimously nominated Samdech Thipadei as Vice President of the Party at the 44th Central Committee Meeting of the Cambodian People's Party.
The President of Viettel informed Samdech Thipadei about the development of the company in the field of telecommunications and digital technology in Cambodia and thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its constant support and facilitate the business operations of the company in Cambodia.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister congratulated Viettel on its successful business operations in both Vietnam and Cambodia and thanked for its investment in Cambodia, including investment in Telecommunications sector through Metfone.
He also noted the company's active participation in social and humanitarian work in Cambodia and encouraged the company to expand its investment in the telecommunications sector as well as other sectors to contribute to the promotion of economic growth and job creation for the people of Cambodia.
