The Royal Government of Cambodia has been implementing ambitious reforms to streamline investment and business procedures for national and international investors and businessmen.
The statement was made by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia at the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Summit 2024 held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Tuesday April 2.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said that the Royal Government has been promoting an atmosphere of open dialogue between the government and the private sector through the organization of a forum, where the two sides have actively cooperated in solving challenges and ensuring the success of doing business and investing in Cambodia.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also mentioned the potential of Cambodia, which foreign investors and businessmen could harness and said that Cambodia has adopted a new investment law with a wide range of incentives for investment projects in key areas.
Cambodia has been strategically investing in a network of interconnected infrastructure, including the development of expressways, deep-sea ports, international airports and logistics centers. to be connected to key economic corridors in Cambodia and the entire ASEAN region, stressed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
The Cambodian Prime Minister urged ASEAN businessmen and partners to seize the great opportunities from the prosperous economic landscape of ASEAN, and Cambodia to boost economic growth in their respective countries. By the end of 2023, Cambodia has seen 36 investment projects from other ASEAN member countries with a total investment capital of approximately US$6 billion.
