Cambodian Prime Minister: Achievements and Progress in the Field of Water Resources and Meteorology Would Not Be Achieved Without Full Peace, Political Stability and Social Security

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, stated that achievements and progress in the field of water resources and meteorology would not be possible without full peace, political stability and social security.

This statement was made at the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on April 10, 2024.

Cambodia has gone through many hardships due to the war and only in the last 25 years, Cambodia has achieved complete peace and national unity throughout the country through the win-win policy of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the former Prime Minister and who is now the     President of the Senate, stressed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

The Royal Government has successfully implemented the Triangle and Rectangular Strategies in four phases and achieved many great achievements in all fields, political, social and economic, which makes Cambodia proudly change its face in the region and internationally, said the Cambodian Premier.

The Cambodian Prime Minister added that based on past experience, the Royal Government of the 7th legislature has launched the first phase pentagonal strategy for job growth, equity, efficiency and sustainability by setting five key priorities: people, roads, water, electricity and technology.

He further said that through the introduction of the strategy, the Royal Government has maintained a strong movement of security, peace, growth and economic productivity, as well as the momentum of national development in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and has built resilience in the public, economic, financial, social and environmental sectors, as well as the resilience of the water resources and meteorology sectors  in contribution to achieving the vision of making Cambodia  an upper middle income country by 2030 and a high income one by 2050.
