Cambodia will have more jubilant events to celebrate annually for people and foreign tourists to enjoy.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the 8th River Festival in Siem Reap Province on March 16, 2024, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, said that the ideas of observing more annual events have come out after he has received suggestions and recommendations from the public, especially people working in the tourism sector.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet added that the partnership between the state and the private sector in promoting tourism development was responsive to the ideas.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also urged the private sector to play an important role in the production of tourism products to attract more people to work together.
He added that the Royal Government would give a helping hand to those who have had good ideas and initiatives in boosting the tourism sector of the country.
