Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen , Prime Minister of Cambodia called on his compatriots to trust hospitals in the provinces and to avoid sending COVId-19 patients from the provinces to Phnom Penh as it could only worsen the condition of the patients due to road trips.

According to his voice message sent to his compatriots on October 19, 2021.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen made the appeal after he observed that COVId-19 patients had been sent from the provinces to Phnom Penh, at the decision of the patients’ family.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed that according to the doctor's research, if this patient travels a long distance in car with air conditioning, it will make the patient’ s condition more serious when they arrived at the hospital.

As of October 18, 2021, Cambodia has found 116,860 cases of COVID-19, 111,149 people were cured and 2,670 deaths.
