Cambodian Prime Minister: The democracy in Cambodia has become mature

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, said that democracy in Cambodia has become mature, open to all tendencies to participate in equal competition based on the ideal of upholding the common interests of the nation and the people of Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet mentioned the better democratic atmosphere in Cambodia when he cast the vote to select members of the Senate of the fifth mandate in 2024 in Sisowath High School in Phnom Penh on Sunday February, 25th .

The 5th Senate election was joined by four political parties: The Cambodian People's Party, the Khmer Will Party, the National Forces Party and FUNCINPEC party, which competed freely, fairly and transparently in a harmonious and non-violent environment.

Cambodia has two universal elections which are the national election and the communal election and one non-universal elections to the Senate.
