The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, stated that medical personnel and workers have had to be professionally capable of giving effective medical treatment as they have not been gods.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister made the point when he presided over the official inauguration of "Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital" in Koh Thom District, Kandal Province on March 13.
Samdach Thipadei Hun Manet said that doctors must have the skills and have to take good decisions as they have been the people to save the lives of people.
Samdach Thipadei Hun Manet said that in order to effectively carry out their tasks of treating the sick, medical practitioners and doctors have had to be able to work in proper facilities and with quality equipment.
Samdach Thipadei Hun Manet also praised the progress of the Ministry of Health in ensuring that members of the public have had to receive proper and effective treatment and check-ups.
He said that many achievements made by the Royal Government in the socio-economic development of Cambodia over the last two decades would not be possible if Cambodia did not have full peace, political stability and social security.
Peace has been the main factor that makes Cambodia develop in all areas, including the health sector, stressed the Prime Minister.
