Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of Cambodia, asked the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea to encourage more investors to come to Cambodia as the trade volume between the two countries is increasing significantly.
This request was made when Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with H.E Woo Won-Shik, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, on September 10, 2024, at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea expressed satisfaction and pleasure at the increase in trade and investment relations, where the bilateral trade volume between the two countries have increased significantly. The establishment of the previous free trade agreement has made it easier for more than 200 Korean companies to invest in Cambodia.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked and congratulated the Korean government for encouraging more investors to invest in Cambodia.
In addition, the President of the Senate thanked the Republic of Korea for providing favorable conditions and facilitating Cambodian workers to improve working conditions that make them stay and work, and when returning to Cambodia brought with modern technology to create jobs in Cambodia, contribute to economic development in Cambodia.
The President of the Senate also informed that the new Royal Government led by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will strive to protect Korean investors and ensured overall peace for all foreign investors.
