The Minister of Information called on local authorities and people in the northeastern province of Kratie to continue to promote the great potentials of their communities.

His Excellency Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group in Kratie Province, made the call during his visit On Sunday February 2, 2025 to Koh Trong island in Kratie province.

The Minister praised the Koh Trung tourism community for the warm hospitality they have offered to visitors.

His Excellency Neth Pheaktra said that Koh Trong island has also been well known for its grapefruits.

His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia, who was with the Minister of Information on the visit, said that he was impressed with the peaceful lives of Cambodian people living on Koh Trung island.

Local authorities in Kratie province have managed to make Koh Trong a clean, hygienic and environmentally-friendly tourist destination. It has a lot to offer to visitors, national and international, who will be impressed with its residents, the community houses and local fruit.
