Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, chaired the first forum between the Royal Government and the sub-national administrations to discuss decentralization reform held in Phnom Penh on March, 18, 2025.
According to the National Committee for Subnational Democratic Development, the forum aimed to jointly assess progress, challenges, identify solutions, and set policy directions for the implementation of decentralization reforms to contribute to building a foundation towards achieving Cambodia's Vision 2050.
The forum was also attended by representatives from the Senate, the National Assembly, the Constitutional Council, the National Election Committee, members of the Royal Government, the Supreme Consultative and Advisory Council, senior officials of the ministries and institutions of the Royal Government, of the sub-national administrations, civil society organizations, development partners, the private sector, and relevant stakeholders.
