Cambodia asks Australia to support and participate in the implementation of the Key Model Village Project with the Ministry of Rural Development

H.E Chhay Rithisen, Minister of the Ministry of Rural Development, has asked the Australian government and non-governmental organizations in Cambodia to support and participate in the implementation of the Key Model Village Project with the Ministry of Rural Development to make it successful, making every village in the Kingdom of Cambodia developed before 2050.

The request was made when the Minister received H.E Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, on Tuesday, April, 29.

The Minister Rural Development informed the Ambassador and his colleagues about the vision and the first phase pentagonal strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia of the 7th mandate of the National Assembly, headed by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The first phase pentagonal strategy, which was launched has five mottos: growth, jobs, equity, efficiency and sustainability, and five other priorities including people, roads, water, electricity and digital technology, aiming to achieve the Cambodian vision of 2050 as a high-income country, added the Minister.

The Minister also highlight the achievements made so far and the priority directions of the Ministry of Rural Development through the vision of “building Cambodian rural areas with prosperity, modernity, innovation, digitalization and resilience in both economic, social and cultural aspects to ensure sustainable growth in household income and improved well-being.
