The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, H.E Dit Dina on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, presided over the celebration of Earth Day 2025 under the theme of “Sustainable Fisheries Management”.

The event was held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phukitra Hotel, with the participation of H.E Igor Driesmans, Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia, and Ms. Rebekah Bell, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Cambodia.

The Minister of Agriculture highly appreciated the Fisheries Administration for its efforts to implement its work with a high sense of responsibility, cooperate with development partners, and put together means to strengthen the law, eliminate illegal fishing, and contribute to the conservation of freshwater and marine fisheries resources, achieving many satisfactory results.

The Minister encouraged further cooperation with all relevant parties to manage fisheries resources sustainably and sustainably.

He also thanked the European Union, FAO, UNIDO, AFD, and GIZ, among others, as important partners in supporting the implementation of the work with remarkable success.
