The Royal Government has the ambition to create and expand decent working conditions for the common benefit of the people

The Prime Minister of Cambodia said that the Royal Government has worked tirelessly toward creating favorable conditions for workers and employees throughout the country.

In his congratulatory message addressed on the occasion of the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day on May 1, 2025, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said that the Royal Government has pursued trade policies to attract more investment to create jobs and promote sustainable growth for the common benefit of the people, especially workers and employees.

Samdech Techipadei Prime Minister continued to say that through full peace, political stability and macroeconomic stability, Cambodia has achieved remarkable socio-economic development, as reflected in the achievement of high economic growth rates, the reduction of poverty and social inequality, the reform of the education system, the promotion of public health, and the strengthening and expansion of the social protection system.

Amid the global crisis of COVID-19, Cambodia has also demonstrated its ability to manage the spread of the diseases and emerge from this crisis with strength, ownership and resilience, stressed the Cambodian Prime Minister.

The International Labor Day this year was held under the theme “Together for Decent Work and Sustainable Growth and Resilience.
