H.E Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and H.E DOMINIC WILLIAMS, British Ambassador to Cambodia, agree that tourism is a factor that helps the relationship between the people of Cambodia and the United Kingdom become closer and more friendly, while Cambodia is considered a safe and rapidly developing tourist destination in all sectors by tourists and businessmen from the United Kingdom and internationally.

The remarks were made when H.E Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, met with H.E DOMINIC WILLIAMS, British Ambassador to Cambodia, and his colleagues on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

The two sides discussed the development of connectivity infrastructure, tourism destinations, travel facilitation, promotion strategies, Cambodian tourism potential to the world and the United Kingdom, sustainable tourism, participation in training, capacity development in the tourism sector, joint cooperation to promote direct flights between Cambodia and the United Kingdom, and further development of eco-tourism, and helping to promote the filming or production of films in Cambodia by famous producers from the United Kingdom or the world.

They also expressed their shared view that tourism is a factor that helps the relationship between the countries and the increase in the number of tourists from the United Kingdom to Cambodia from year to year is due to the factors of peace, political stability, and good public order in Cambodia, which Cambodia is considered a tourist destination with high safety and rapid development in all sectors by tourists and businessmen from the United Kingdom and internationally.
