The Techo Santephap dormitory and several other facilities at Svay Pope Pagoda have been inaugurated

A dormitory building in a Buddhist pagoda has been put into service.

An inauguration ceremony was held on Friday, May 9 at Wat Svay Pope pagoda under the auspicious of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The dormitory building has been named Techo Santephap dormitory and was inaugurated along with several other facilities in the pagoda, located in Tonle Bassac Commune, Chamkar Morn District, Phnom Penh.

The facilities have been built with the financial support from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and his spouse Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister and his spouse Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet.

The Techo Sanphetneap Dormitory building is 5 stories high, with 30 rooms.

The dormitory building took about 12 months to complete. The construction began on May 30, 2023.
