H.E HUN Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil service of Cambodia and Chairman of the National Public Service Units Assessment Commission, presided over the opening ceremony of the dissemination workshop on “Approaches to appraisal and recognition: providing model public services in education and health for high school, kindergarten and referral hospitals.
The ceremony took place on May 6, 2024 in Siem Reap province, with the participation of the National Public Service Unit evaluation committee and the inter-ministerial technical working group of the National Public Service Units Assessment commission, representatives of provincial councils, provincial governors and many relevant stake holders from Siem Reap, Oddar Meanchey, Battambang, Pailin, PreahVihear, Banteay Meanchey and Kampong Thom provinces.
Mr. Prak Sophoan, Governor of Siem Reap Province, warmly welcomed the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many. The provincial governor said that the outreach workshop was important for the development for the public service unit at the local level, as part of strengthening the quality of service of the unit.
Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many said the establishment of this model public service evaluation and recognition program was a great opportunity to meet and consult with each other, as well as learn from the experience of successful service organizations.
He added that this was an opportunity to share experiences at the national and provincial levels, with local operators working together to increase capacity and affordability to provide services.
