H.E Neth Pheaktra: Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet have been the mainstay of the whole of the Cambodian nation in the cause of national defense and building

The Cambodian Minister of Information said that the President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet have been the mainstay of the whole of the Cambodian nation in the cause of national defense and building.

H.E Neth Pheaktra, who is also Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party and Chairman of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information, made the statement at a meeting of about 600 members of the Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party in the Ministry of Information at the January 7 building in Phnom Penh on Saturday April 27, 2024. 

The Minister also said that the two leaders and the Cambodian People's Party have won warm and strong support from the people in the cause of building and defending the motherland. H.E Neth Pheakdra also expressed full support of all the members of the CPP Committee of the Ministry of Information for the implementation of the Techo Funan Canal project, which has been an initiative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and now President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia. 

The Minister of Information also stood with the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet in his continued work on the development of the Prek Techo Funan canal project. His Excellency highlighted the noble words of Samdech Techo and Samdech Thipadei on the importance of this Techo Funan canal, which is a project that serves the great national interest, especially in the economic and social aspect in Cambodia. 

H.E Neth Pheaktra gave a brief introduction on strengthening and improving the work of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and highlighting the path on which Cambodia has taken over the last 100 years from the years of the French colony to the years when Cambodia had regained independence. 

The Minister of Information said that after passing through the flames of war and the genocide, Cambodia has achieved complete peace through the implementation of the win-win policy laid down by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, that had resulted in the elimination of the Khmer Rouge political and military organization and in nation-building progress.
