Samdech Techo Hun Sen believes that the US$ 1 billion trade target between Cambodia and Turkey can be achieved in the future

The Senate President, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, has expressed confidence that the US$1 billion trade target between Cambodia and Turkey can be achieved in the future.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen was optimistic about the amount of trade volume between Cambodia and Turkey when he received a courtesy call from H.E Ms. ÜLKÜ KOCAEFE, Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia, on Monday April 29.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen hoped that the relations between the two countries would be further enhanced in the interest of the people of each country. The President of the Senate of Cambodia said that activities should be considered by institutions of the two countries to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Cambodia and Turkey.  

The Ambassador, for her part, said that she was proud to see the steady development of relations between Cambodia and Turkey, including the opening of a trade office in the kingdom. 

She also spoke of cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, including the expansion of schools and the increase in scholarships to Cambodian students. She said that Turkish Airlines plans to expand flights to Cambodia in the near future.

She added that Turkey would strengthen its cooperation with other countries in the region and wished the Cambodian side to support Turkey in promoting relations with ASEAN.
