Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate, expressed his intention to meet with Senior General Min Aung Laing, Chairman of the State Administration Council.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke of the intention when he received H.E Kyaw Soe Min, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Cambodia and his delegation in Phnom Penh, on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that he wished to have talks via videoconference with the Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar. The President of the Cambodian Senate congratulated H.E Kyaw Soe Min on his appointment as Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Cambodia and said that the Ambassador was the first diplomat he met after he became President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Samdech TechoHun Sen expressed his hope that the Myanmar ambassador would strive to use his new role to further promote the long-lasting relationship between the two countries.
In response, the Ambassador praised and thanked Samdech Techo for allowing him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call and the Ambassador expressed his pleasure to see Cambodia under the leadership of SamdechTecho Hun Sen , former Prime Minister and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the current Prime Minister of Cambodia.
The Myanmar Ambassador also praised Samdech Techo Hun Sen for supporting and defending Myanmar when Cambodia was the chair of ASEAN and paid a working visit to Myanmar, aimed to find a peaceful solution in Myanmar.
