Information Minister Chairs a Workshop on performance-based budgeting for National and Sub-National Civil Servants in Siem Reap

The Minister of Information of Cambodia said that the success of the public financial management reform has relied on the success of the public administration reform. 

H.E Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, made the point when he chaired a seminar on performance-based budgeting organized by the Ministry of Information in Siem Reap town, Siem Reap province for about 150 officials of the Ministry and the provincial departments of information. 

The Information Minister said that the seminar was important as it has provided more inputs and knowledge for all the departments under the Ministry to devise budget package and spending in such a transparent and perfect way that it would help ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the public administration reform. 

His Excellency Net Pheaktra added that the success of public financial reform also depended on the success of the public administration reform, with intended spending well targeted.

The Minister of Information instructed all participants to strive to gain knowledge from the seminar to help the Royal Government in carrying out successful public financial reform.
