Local authorities, police and relevant departments have been order to deal with the disturbing sound from car horns in the streets

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, issued the order on his official Facebook page on Monday March 18, 2024 to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the General Commission of the National Police, the capital and provincial authorities to cooperate to control the annoying   sound of car horns to prevent anarchy on public roads.

The order came after Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet saw recent posts on social media showing young people dancing on the streets to the sound of rhythmic car horns. 

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet appealed to members of the public, especially children and young people, to stop dancing on the streets to the tune of vehicle horns to avoid accidents and anarchy on the streets.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet called on the transport companies as well as the drivers of trucks to use horns that meet the technical specifications that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has recommended.
