Minister of Labor and Vocational Training encourages Korean Boo Young company to accept Cambodian students and trainees for internships and trainings

The Minister of Labor and Vocational Training encouraged the South Korean Boo Young company to accept Cambodian students and trainees for internships and trainings to gain work experience and strengthen technical capacity.

H.E Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training made the encouragement when he met with Mr. Yong Man Lee, President of Boo Young Company on March 12, 2024. 

H.E Heng Sour said that providing internship for students and trainees to be skillful in technical administrative and management work was key to helping build the capacity, knowledge and skills for young people of Cambodia.

The Minister stressed that vocational technical training was one of the priority of the Ministry's five-year strategic plan and also a key point in the pentagonal strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the seventh mandate led by SamdechThipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Minister briefed the South Korean guests of the national program on technical and vocational training for 1.5 million young people from poor and vulnerable families, which has been the government's priority action plan to make young people become a highly capable and productive workforce. 

The Minister also asked the company to consider providing equipment to Cambodia to strengthen the capacity of study and practice.

For his part, the President of Boo Young Company welcomed the vision of the Royal Government of Cambodia as well as the Ministry's strategic plan on training professional technical skills.

The President of Boo Young company said that the company was ready to contribute to the realization of the important vision of the Royal Government.
