Her excellency Ing Kantha Phavy, Minister of Women's Affairs, encouraged all women entrepreneurs to continue their efforts and be proud of themselves for the development of their business and to participate in economic recovery and to promote national economic growth.
This encouragement was made when Her excellency Ing Kantha Phavy presided over the closing ceremony of the Annual Meeting of the Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Association at the Sokha Residence Hotel on March 31, 2024.
Her excellency Ing Kantha Phavy stated that the Ministry of Women's Affairs is implementing a strategy to expand the functions of Women Entrepreneurship Development Centers in the provinces in partnership with the private sector and relevant partners to support women start-ups, especially with micro and small businesses.
The Minister added that the Women Entrepreneurship Development Center is starting to expand its partnership and coordinate with the private sector and relevant institutions to support women in small and medium enterprises.
The Minister also said that the Ministry continues to support the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and other women entrepreneurs by participating in the mainstreaming of gender and the needs of women entrepreneurs, as well as women suggestions into the policy framework and Programs of relevant ministries, institutions and partners.
