Ministry of Environment Supports Chinese Investment in Cambodia's Environment​ Sector

The Cambodian Minister of Environment hoped that Chinese investors and businessmen would contribute to the efforts of the Ministry launching the campaign of cleanliness, greenery and sustainability.

H.E Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, made the remarks   during a discussion session with Chinese investors in Phnom Penh, on May 8, 2024.

The Minister of Environment told the Chinese guests that the campaign of cleanliness, greenery and sustainability has been in line with the environmental strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia of the 7th legislature.

The Minister expressed support for China's investment in Cambodia in the field of environment, especially the recycling of plastic waste which would provide many benefits to the people of Cambodia and has been in line with the campaign to reduce plastic bags.
Cambodia's beauty comes from the cleanliness in the minds of all people and the cleanliness has to exist around them, no garbage, no plastic waste, which is a source of infection and affects public health, added the Minister.
