A workshop on orientation on information and public opinion management was held for officials involving in the information sector in the capital and all the provinces across the country.
The workshop was held on Monday, April 1, 2024, by the Ministry of Information and was attended by senior officials of the Ministry and the municipal and provincial departments of information, with a total of 270 participants. The event was chaired by H.E Svay Sitha, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Chairman of the National Committee for Coordination of Information and Public Works, H.E Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information and H.E Pen Bona, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the government spokesperson unit.
Speaking at the function, His Excellency Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, stressed the importance of information management and the need to put in place a permanent mechanism on the information management.
The Minister of Information further said that a list of positive subjects had to be prepared to promote information dissemination and the ways of work performance, including of the spokesman unit, the editorial production and the publicity.
50 computers donated by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia and 25 printers donated by His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, were presented to the 25 municipal and provincial departments of information.
