Samdech Techo asks to use a copy of vaccination card for students when entering school

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, requested the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as the Capital and Provincial Governors to mull over the use of copied COVID-19 vaccination cards by students upon entering the schools and other educational establishments.

In an audio message on October 2, 2021, Samdech Techo stated that school boys and girls used the Covid-19 vaccination card to show up when they go to school, and the premier was concerned that the original copy could sometime be damaged or lost.

Samdech Techo continued to say that the use of copied vaccine cards is to avoid losses or damage, so the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the capital-provincial governors have to take this into consideration. He also instructed the parents to make a copy of the vaccination card, if it is not possible to do so, the school will help make a copy so that the boys and girls can use the copy of the immunization card. In addition, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also instructed

the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Defense to write down the names of the holders correctly in both Khmer and English languages, because some officials and Cambodians would need it when they have to go abroad.
