Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council led by H.E Ted Osius via video conference on October 19, 2021.
H.E Ted Osius, together with all members of the company, hailed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his successful measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. He informed Samdech Techo about the interest of the US-ASEAN Business Council, which intends to invest in Cambodia in the fields of energy, industry, health, technology, finance and exports.
The US-ASEAN Business Council will support Cambodia as Cambodia hosts ASEAN in the future, as well as assist Cambodia economically during the COVID-19 epidemic as well as assisting Cambodia in capacity building and energy security issues added H.E Ted Osius.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen congratulated His Excellency Ted Osius on his appointment as Chairman and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council. Samdech Techo also thanked the United States for providing COVID-19 vaccines to Cambodia, and expressed his pleasure that the US-ASEAN Business Council recognized Cambodia's progress in vaccinating the people and getting this positive and fruitful result.
Samdech Techo informed the US-ASEAN Business Council of Cambodia's plans to address Cambodia's climate change issues, as well as Cambodia's forward measures, including continuing control of COVID-19 and promoting good business reforms to attract investors, increasing reforms in all areas and promoting business activity and encouraging the private sector to boost the Cambodian economy.
The Cambodian Prime Minister informed the US-ASEAN Business Council about the potential for investment in Cambodia, as well as called on US investors to consider investing in Cambodia in the future.
