Samdech Techo Hun Sen leaves for the Boao annual conference Forum in Hainan province, China

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, left Phnom Penh on Wednesday March 27 for the BOAO annual conference in China.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s attendance was made at the invitation of Mr. Li. Po Tong, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the conference on "Asia and the World: Challenges and Common Responsibilities."

Accompanied Samdech Techo Hun Sen was by H.E. Prak Sokhon, Member of the Supreme Advisor Privy to the King, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and other senior members of the Royal Government and business leaders of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.

The forum brings together government leaders, businesses, academia, international organizations and regional organizations to discuss key issues and to promote international cooperation.

During the visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen hasmeetings with senior Chinese leaders, including Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and General Hu Weitong, a member of the Party Central Committee's Political Bureau and vice chairman and the second chairman of the Communist Party of China Central Military Commission and Feng Fei, secretary of the Hainan Provincial Communist Party Committee.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also visit the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences and the Wenchang International Space City to promote Cambodia-China cooperation in agricultural and technological development.
