Samdech Techo orders relevant institutions to re-open flights with some countries to receive Tourists and investors to Cambodia

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, ordered relevent institutions to examine the possibility of reopening flights with Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines to receive more visitors and investors to Cambodia. The order was made when Samdech Techo chaired the meeting of

the Council of Ministers on October 22, 2021.

Samdech Techo said that the reopening of flights with Thailand to Cambodia would start without the need for quarantine, because Thailand began to allow Cambodia to enter their country without a quarantine. Now the outbound and inbound flights to Cambodia are from Singapore, China and South Korea.

Samdech Techo added that the consideration for Cambodia to have a vision for economic functioning was made because during Pchum Ben day, people were allowed to travel all over the country and there was no outbreak of Covid-19. These serve as experience for Cambodia to consider reopening of the country.  So far, the Royal Government of Cambodia decided to temporarily suspend flights to prevent Covid-19 because some countries have a strong Covid-19 outbreak.
