The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, said that the establishment of a new generation school program was not designed to compete with each other, but to strengthen education.
The Cambodian Prime Minister spoke of the new generation school at the closing ceremony of the annual sum-up meeting of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on Wednesday, April 2, 2024.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet further said the Royal Government of Cambodia has established a National Commission to organize a new generation school program and would be implemented in the first 50 schools, focusing on primary schools.
He added that 50 more schools that would follow suit in the near future.
