The Cambodia’s National Assembly presented the results of its work in the first three months, between the first session and the second session from January to April 2024 at its second session on Monday April 1, 2024.
The National Assembly has achieved many results in serving the country and its people in accordance with its main functions defined in the laws,
such as the legislative function, the law enforcement monitoring function, and the citizen representation function.
The National Assembly of the 7th legislature under the leadership of Samdech Khuon Sodary, focused on strengthening and expanding the field of parliamentary diplomacy to bring benefits to citizens and the nation on the international stage.
The National Assembly always puts the interests of the people and the nation first by using the parliamentary diplomacy mechanism to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation with parliaments in other countries.
The National Assembly has promoted the training of human resources, capacity building in the General Secretariat of the National Assembly and working on seeking support for the modernization of the National Assembly into a digital parliament aimed at improving the efficiency of serving the people.
In early March 2024, the National Assembly President led a high-level delegation of the National Assembly of Cambodia on an official visit to the Republic of France and attended the first Summit of Women National Assembly, hosted by the National Assembly of France.
