In its annual meeting held on February 24, the Federation set priorities for human resources development to be implemented in the coming years.
The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Federation of Education Services was presided over by Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.
The 2023 Annual Review Meeting provided more opportunities for all players to meet, discuss and exchange ideas by reflecting on the investment achievements the meeting also highlighted excellence as a basis for solving the problem, challenges and created new opportunities, especially to prioritize the development of human resource capacity in line with the strategic plan for education and digital education revolution. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports said that the Ministry was currently working to reform education so as to improve student achievement and respond to the four key measures issued by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The four measures include school governance, extracurricular activities for moral and behavioral education, health study and State-Community Partnership for Education. The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned artificial intelligence (AI), a technology that allows computers and smartphones to learn, think, analyze and understand specific problems by modeling on the human brain. AI is now being used in many areas and of socio-economic activity, such as education and other public services stressed the Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister also encouraged the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia and all members to continue to participate in the development of education with the Royal Government and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports by increasing investment in education to build an education system that is equitable, of quality, resilient, responsive to the needs of Cambodia's regional and global socio-economic development.
The conference was attended by the senior officials of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and members of the Board of the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia. On that occasion, the 2023 Outstanding Teacher Award of the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia was also presented.
