The Ministry of Labor and The Dariu Foundation of Switzerland sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Digital Technology Training

Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, H.E Heng Sour, and Country Director of the Dariu Foundation of Switzerland in Cambodia, Mr. Rajiv PRADHAN, last Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on digital literacy initiatives for young people and students of technical training institutions to receive digital education for productive social work in the digital economy. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

The project will prioritize the improvement of education for the youth and students of vocational education institutions who wish to enter the labor market for higher productivity in the digital economy, entrepreneurship in conjunction with digital or further education related to the digital economy.

The signing of this memorandum was in line with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training for five years from 2024 to 2028 on employment, social security and vocational training to increase the capacity of Cambodians in the digital age. The signing of this memorandum is also in line with the first phase pentagonal strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia of the seventh mandate, which focuses on human resources and technology.
