The Ministry of Labor and the Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the dissemination of vocational and technical training to young people

A Memorandum of Understanding was reached between the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and the Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia.

The signing ceremony was presided over by H.E Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, Minister of Civil Service and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, and H.E Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, on Tuesday March 26, 2024.

Speaking on that occasion, H.E Hun Many thanked the Ministry for choosing the Union to promote the dissemination of vocational and technical training to young people and to help apply for jobs. He also mentioned the history, mission and vision of the Union and stressed that the Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia has played an important role in continuing the mission of the previous young generations in the cause of the motherland by providing opportunities for young people everywhere to join as a united force to contribute to the development of the nation.

For his part, the Minister of Labor and Vocational Training stated that the cooperation with the Union was thanks to the scope of the Union structure which is comprehensive and widespread throughout the country that can provide high results in promoting the vocational and technical training programs to the members of the Union and young people all over the country. He added that the memorandum would   help the Union members and young people in general register for a job.

The Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia’s mission is to contribute to the development of professional employment and digital economy for a sustainable future, especially to support vocational training and provide employment services and labor market information to ensure that young people across the country can get information related to the career and have the opportunity to participate in various training courses.
