The Royal Government of Cambodia and the ILO continue to strengthen socio-economic development operations and improve the lives of Cambodians

The Royal Government of Cambodia and the International Labor Organization have continued to strengthen cooperation for socio-economic development and the improvement of the living standards of the Cambodian people.

The two sides made the remarks when Ms. Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa, paid a courtesy call on Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on May 10

Ms. Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa reaffirmed the long-term cooperation between the ILO and Cambodia and pledged to further strengthen this cooperation. 

Ms. Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa also highly appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia for launching a political program to contribute and support the employment and vocational training sector, and especially to support the associations in promoting harmonious professional relations in Factories and enterprises. 

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed Ms. Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa and thanked the ILO for its contribution to Cambodia's socio-economic development in the past.

The Cambodian Prime Minister also praised her commitment to continue to support and contribute to the socio-economic development of Cambodia by supporting the existing ILO program in Cambodia and encouraging the ILO to continue to support the employment sector in Cambodia. 

In addition, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stated that the Royal Government continues to focus on and improve the lives of the people by setting out six priority policies through the improvement of the health system, education system reform and Social protection.
