Three important documents have been signed during an official visit of Chinese Foreign Minister to Cambodia

Cambodia and China have signed three important documents that will further promote Cambodia’s development 

The two documents are related to the water and agricultural sectors in Cambodia.

The signing ceremony took place in Phnom Penh on Monday April 22 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and H.E WANG YI, Foreign Minister of China.

These three important documents are the exchange of notes on the provision of assistance for Rural Water Supply Phase II, the Certificate of Assignment of Cambodian agricultural development master plan and the protocol related to quarantine and sanitation requirements for semi-finished dog food products made from cowhides for exports to China.

The two sides also held a handover ceremony of the diary of the kingdom of Chenla highlighting the traditions and customs translated into Khmer and a celebration of the export of fresh coconuts from Cambodia to China.

H.E WANG YI paid a three-day official visit to Cambodia from April 21 to 23, 2024.

H.E Wang Yi's official visit coincides with the celebration of the Year of People-to-People Exchange between Cambodia and China and will contribute to the strengthening of iron-clad friendship and the further expansion of cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership for the common destiny community with high quality, high standards in the framework of promoting cooperation in regional and international forums for mutual benefit for the peoples of the two countries.
