H.E Vo Van Thuong, President of the State of Vietnam, believed that under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia would continue to develop.
The Vietnamese leader expressed the belief at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday December 11, 2023 with Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Hun Manet.
H.E Vo Van Thuong congratulated Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on his nomination as the vice president of the Cambodian people’s party.
The Vietnamese President also expressed his satisfaction with the official visit of the high-level delegation of the Royal Government of Cambodia which reflected the further strengthening of Cambodia-Vietnam bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the Vietnamese leader for the warm welcome and said that Vietnam was the first country in the ASEAN region, to which Samdech paid an official visit as the Prime Minister to promote closer bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet informed the Vietnamese President about the fruitful results of the talks with the Vietnamese Prime Minister, in which Cambodia and Vietnam would increase cooperation in many important areas, especially the establishment of cooperation mechanisms.
The Vietnamese President expressed his appreciation and support for the outcome of the talks between the two Prime Ministers and conveyed greetings to His Majesty the King of Cambodia and Her Majesty the Queen of Cambodia, as well as Samdech Techo Hun Sen and other Cambodian leaders.
The Vietnamese leader said that his country looked forward to welcoming the King of Cambodia on a state visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the near future.
