The Minister of Information said that one person has been the core actor in combating fake news and called on all citizens to participate in the campaign against fake news with the Ministry of Information.

Speaking at a meeting to launch the campaign against fake news under the slogan “Say No ToFake News” on April 1, 2025, H.E NethPheaktra, Minister of Information, said that in the context of the continuous development of technology, the access to and dissemination of information through digital systems, especially on social media, has increased steadily, while the dangers of fake news circulating by all these modern means have become even more acute.

The Minister urged all members of the public to join the campaign against fake news with the Ministry of Information and relevant actors in both the public and private sectors so as to jointly ensure a safe digital social environment, access to quality information to serve the public interest, protect social stability, and contribute to sustainable development.
