His Excellency Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, met with Mr. Nguyen Hoang Trung, Deputy General Director in charge of Commercial Affairs of Metfone company on April 3, 2025, at the Ministry’s office, with the main goal of continuing to strengthen cooperation on promoting wider dissemination to citizens through modern media, especially jointly combating fake news.

The Information Minister highly appreciated Metfone’s support and good cooperation with the Ministry of Information on the fast and high-quality promotion work. Metfone company has provided mobile phone and Internet services, which contribute to the development of Cambodia’s economy through the telecommunications sector.

The Minister also thanked Metfone for integrating the Cambodian National Television broadcasting system, both channels and the Ministry of Information App, and several other television channels, into the company’s OTT TV broadcasting system, which is a significant step towards expanding the coverage and ensuring citizens’ right to access to information.
