Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, instructed the Phnom Penh Municipality Administration to increase the cultivation of green cover in the city to reduce heat and greenhouse gases, especially in the construction area to build new physical infrastructure.
The instruction was mad when Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the twin flyovers at the intersection of Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd and National Road No. 2, on June 17th.
Samdech Thipadai Prime Minister also instructed the Phnom Penh Municipality Administration to learn more about the use of modern, smart and economical technologies in various physical infrastructure projects in Phnom Penh, such as the installation of security cameras, solar lights and automatic irrigation systems in public gardens to make the city more attractive, luxurious and worthy of a smart ASEAN city.
The Cambodian Prime Minister added that the Phnom Penh Municipality Administration must work hard to implement the investment plan for infrastructure, drainage system to avoid flooding in the geographical area of Phnom Penh to make the city more resilient to climate change.
